How to Add Days to Today's Date

This calculator allows you to add a certain number of days to today's date and find the resulting date. Otherwise, you can use one of the following two methods:

Method One: Manually Adding Days

In this method, you can add a specified number of days directly to the current date. Start by adding the days to the day portion of the current date. If the total number of days added is less than the days in that month, the new date will be the result. For example, if you're adding 5 days and the current day is the 10th, the result will be the 15th, provided that this doesn't exceed the month's limit.

If the sum of the days exceeds the days in the current month, you'll need to continue to the next month. This means that if you're adding, say, 35 days to a date and end up in a new month, you'll simply proceed with the calculation into the next month.

While this method works well for adding a few days, it can become cumbersome when adding large numbers of days. For instance, adding just a few days is quick and easy, but adding something like 90 days can become quite tedious if done manually.

Method Two: Using Spreadsheet Software

Another straightforward method involves using tools like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. These programs have built-in functions to add days to a date with minimal effort.

To get started, enter your start date into a cell (let’s say A1). Then, in another cell, input the formula to add days to that date. For example, if you want to add 90 days, the formula would look like this:

=A1 + 90

This will add 90 days to the date in cell A1 and display the new date in the selected cell. You can change the number of days in the formula to whatever number suits your needs, and you can also use a different cell for your start date instead of A1.
