Celsius to Fahrenheit - °C to °F

°C

Our Celsius to Fahrenheit Calculator helps you convert a temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit (°C to °F).

How to Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit

To convert a temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit, use the following formula:

\( \text{Fahrenheit} = (\text{Celsius} \times \frac{9}{5}) + 32 \)

Example of C to F conversion: Celsius to Fahrenheit

If the temperature is 25°C, then we'll use the following formula to convert to C to F:

\( \text{Fahrenheit} = \left( 25 \times \frac{9}{5} \right) + 32 = 77^\circ \text{F} \)

When C to F conversion is used

If the temperature is 0°C today, and tomorrow it will be twice as cold, how many degrees will it be?

To calculate this, you can use the formula:

\( \text{Fahrenheit} = (0 \times \frac{9}{5}) + 32 = 32^\circ \text{F} \)

Note: In this case, "twice as cold" is not a scientific expression, but in the context of the problem, it suggests reducing the temperature by a factor of 2.

So, 0°C is equal to 32°F.

If tomorrow it will be "twice as cold," we divide 32°F by 2:

32°F ÷ 2 = 16°F

Now, let's convert 16°F into Celsius:

\( C = \frac{5}{9} \times (16 - 32) \approx -8.89^\circ C \)
